I had the great opportunity yesterday afternoon to check out the latest IMAX flick – U2 3D. It was absolutely awesome/truly remarkable. My friend and I, huge fans of the band/their music/their message/their brand, could not entirely comprehend the overall vibe while experiencing this National Geographic feature. I cannot recall the last time I felt so relaxed and out of person while watching something on the oversized IMAX screen, or any screen for that matter. I don’t know if it was the 3D goggles they handed me at the entrance, or the crystal sharp tunes that blasted out the cinema’s speakers – I just know that the entire 85 minutes were something euphoric and well worth anyone’s time.
As I sat there watching this spectacular spectacle, I could not stop thinking the following:
- How do these guys live a normal life after such a show? Entertaining thousands upon thousands of delirious human beings
- They pour everything out in which they have in their entire being
- They know that they were put on this earth to rock – to deliver a message through music
- How much passion overflows their core?
- How does Bono do what he does? How do any of the bandmates do what they do? What fuels them?
- What galaxy are they from?
AND
- What the hell are WE waiting for?
These 4 brothers and their team of many are living every second full out – understanding and doing something with the prime time of their life. They are bellowing out every word/every beat with love, with passion, with desire. The energy and enthusiasm is undeniable. What they think and what they do, takes all in whom they encounter/entertain to another place. Love ‘em or hate ‘em – you CANNOT deny what they do.
Which brings me to this – what the hell are we waiting for? What happened to our dreams, our loves, our passions, OUR TIME? What happened to it being about what we want to do with our lives? When did we lose way to the rat race, the bills, the taxes, the complacency, the overspending, the debt, the social traditions, blah, blah, blah. What happened to caring about/nurturing our precious dreams? What happened to taking risks that enable us to move forward/to grow? What happened to doing the things that we have always/and continue to, love? What happened to living?
What the hell are we waiting for? The next lifetime? Reincarnation? A sign/an omen? A message from above? A free pass? Only YOU can make what you want reality. Only you have the power to live the prime time of your life – living it full out, chasing your dreams and rockin’ the world to your remarkable beat.
