I’m taking the thorough time this weekend to sit back, relax, sip on some Red Bulls, perhaps a little wine, and lay it all out on X-amount sheets of paper, letting the good thoughts roll. Get it all down on a clean, blank, crisp new sheet of Hilroy. Things I want to do/accomplish/achieve now in the prime time of my life. Running wild with dreams, ideas, thoughts, visions and just about anything that comes to mind. Sounds like its gonna be one heck of an eye opening weekend.
What’s a Life List?
I first encountered the reality of what a Life List is a few years back when I was reading a copy of Men’s Journal. The magazine featured several gentlemen, whom, had all created and were living their Life Lists. This group of guys included Joe Blow at the office cubicle/corporate America, to Tom Cruise. It was an awesome piece – truly opened my eyes to something I thought may be categorized as acid induced dreaming or wake up and smell reality you foolish grown up man. It was way more than simple head in the clouds ambition – the Life List represented one’s vision, one’s mission/meaning here on earth. It spoke of dreams that were no longer considered simple dreams, but legendary goals that would be brought to life. Kinda like what The Bucket List brought to the silver screen last year.
I could sit here all day and explain in great detail what a Life List entails, instead I’d rather share a snapshot/preview of mine. Remember, with an onslaught of to-do lists that overwhelm and kill our 24 hours each and everyday, the Life List concept is a blueprint providing a panoramic view of something bigger in our lives. It’s a list that generates/provides direction and guidance to our overall life AND our everyday. Automatically you’ll know how to go about your precious days when a Life List is in play – trust me on this. Like I’ve always believed – know WHAT you want, and the rest of what you need to do will reveal itself along the way. Enjoy.

But remember, writing them down is only part of the battle – the real deal is living them full out, each and everyday. Godspeed.
