I used to get teased about the healthy, lean, clean foods I would eat as a young 20 something. I used to get razzed about the self help and business books I read by the pool on a hot summer day. To this day I still get questioned when guests checkout the fridge in our kitchen or the bookshelf in our living room. You spent how much on that Dale Carnegie course Mark!? You spent an entire day and that amount of money at a Power Within conference!? You want to write a book!? You wake up at what time in the AM to workout!?
Hey, to each his own.
This all being said, what are you taking in? What gets you buzzed and what moves you to a higher beat? What gets you up and off in the morning? What are you putting into your body and mind on an hourly, daily, weekly and monthly basis? Do you indulge in the right stuff that helps you get closer to where you want to go?
Say you want to get back in shape/lose weight – what’s your diet like? What does the inside of your fridge look like? Check your credit card statements – where are you eating out? What are you buying? Where is the majority of the money you’re spending going? I once read in Men’s Health magazine, that you’ll be able to tell a person’s passions, desires, dedications and lifestyle by simply checking out their monthly credit card statement. Realizing that – what’s on your credit card statement?
You are what you eat. Same thing goes for what you read, how much you exercise, work, listen, love and more. Everything you take in you become. And what you become is ultimately what you do/how you move.
