After the overwhelming response I received yesterday in regards to this week’s Talking Temple e-newsletter, the feedback generated clearly stated that the majority of you truly needed some words of inspiration and encouragement, at a time when we find ourselves in the midst of winter and looking for a blast of sunshine and energy to invigorate the motivation. I could not be happier with what all of you shared with me, as it was truly rewarding for me to realize that my thoughts and words infused some enthusiasm into your overall mood and important day.
I have a poster in my office of some serious bodybuilder about to execute a heavy exercise, it reads – EVERY DAY IS A BIG DAY. Isn’t that the truth, simple and to the point. Every day you wake up and every day you are alive is a big day. A new day, a new start in which you can do whatever it takes to grow, to progress and to achieve and accomplish what you did not the day before. Remember what’s done is done, the past is the past. Live in the now and set goals and plan for the future, but never look back. What has past you can no longer do anything about, EXCEPT learn from your past mistakes and change where you went wrong so that it does not become part of your now and your future.
Your feedback over the past month has boldly proved that the great majority of you understand the invaluable importance of empowerment and health. In fact, attitude, mindset and outlook on life has executed such a 180 for so many of you that I can only see this as a positive epidemic in a world of much depression and ill health. Why when we have everything we could ever need at our fingertips do we find so many in a state of depression, inactivity and malnutrition? How many suffer inside and can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel? Why is that many do not feel as if THEIR day is a big day? Because I truly believe if someone told you you had 24 hours to live, that 24 hour day would be a VERY BIG DAY.
All this being said, I salute you. I salute all of you who have decided and chosen that 2008 will be the year they start to rock. I mean really rock. That it will be a year of no B.S., a year of enthusiasm, passion and influence. A year in which everything you do will have a positive approach, a surge of energy and hunger for vitality. A year in which everything you do will be filled with a want of great importance and that you will be sharp in knowing what to focus on and what not. Nothing will be for waste and your goals and plans are in line with your dreams, desire and passion. And finally this year will be a year in which you change the world – no matter how small or large your world is, you will influence those around you by leading by example and by inspiring. You will rock this year and treat every day as a big day. And for all of this, I salute you.
