It is just amazing how a 60 minute workout at 6 in the morning can infuse and fuel your entire day.
At this time of the year, it can be quite easy to just roll over at 5:30am, hit the snooze button and crawl into the day and live it out at mediocre effort. OR you can just simply get up at 5:30 in the morning, get dressed and go.
Hit the weights, hit the pavement – just put on your gear and go. I used to train at the end of a work day – stroll in the gym at the busiest time of the day, when EVERYBODY seems to be working out. What I now noticed over the past several years, is that you get a very special crowd bright and early in the morning.
It’s a crowd that is already revved and ready to go. Sure they are just as busy as everyone else, and sure they could just as easily hit the snooze. BUT, this special morning crowd understands the value of training before sunrise. Working out in the AM is not about saying that you do it, so that friends and colleagues call you crazy and a trooper. It is actually doing it and feeling it. Its’ feeling the escalating energy all throughout the day. My overall energy has shot through the roof since I have switched from working out at night, to training in the AM. I also find that I sleep much better.
Keep this in mind too, you burn more fat throughout the day by working out in the morning. AND you need less/no caffeine to get you through your morning. That morning workout will fully awake you and fuel you for the rest of your very important day.
